PORTStatus History File
$VER:PORTStatus_V5.1
Version 1.0
->First Release.
Version 1.1
->Fixed a bug caused by my misunderstanding of a GU# :)
Version 1.5
->Color Added. Other NORMAL logon information was added,
Logon time, caller #, Last Logon time and so on.
Version 2.0
->More features added and now has a sysop config so that you
turn off some of the display.
Version 3.0
->Added a SysOp Menu option so that Sysop's could make more
use of the power this program offers. Such as the viewing
of any single port #, viewing of ALL port settings, or a
range of port #'s.
Version 3.1
->Minor Bug Fixed. The minutes left was showing something like
600 when it should have been showing 60.0. The point was
mission making the users think they had much more time:) FIXED!
Version 3.2
->Added a break to the longer listing sysop functions. ie.
During the list ALL and list RANGE the sysop can now exit
the listing at anytime buy just typing x. This will take
you back to the sysop menu.
Version 4.0 (Major UpDate)
->The users part of the program is mostly unchanged, however the
SysOp Options/Menu have undergone a massive change.
Version 4.1
->New Routines Added. Added newer Error routine, Added More
Prompt control. Added 'changewhere' feature.
Version 4.5
->ReWorked the SysOp Menu. Other minor improvements added.
Version 4.6
->Oops:) Forgot to replace a couple of the controls for putting.
the More Prompt back into place. Fixed.
Version 4.7
->Fix the line length on two lines to bring them below the 255
character limit so most editors could handle them again.
Version 4.8
->Fixed bug in the showing of UnLoaded ports. If the default YES
was used, it would still all ports and not just the 'Loaded'
ports.
Version 4.9
->Removed some un-needed code and other genreal improvements to
the code.
Version 5.0 (27-MAR-1996)
->MAJOR UPDATE!
Added: Comma parser (Thanks to Dotoran :) )
So now numbers like Calls WAS 7500 IS NOW 7,500
Changed: The Sysop Display is now in 'Line Format'
Changed: Any KEY will now pause long listings of ports.
Added: Continue prompt to paused listing. Now the SysOp's can
Continue the listing or exit from it.
Fixed: Port 100 is the GLOBAL settings and has been fixed to
show it as such.
Added: In the SysOp port viewing screen, it will now show the
name of the user that is on a port. If a port is loaded but
not in use then it shows Loaded/Idle and for non-loaded ports
it informs you that it is Closed.
Added: Added an option for the sysop's so that they can have
the program ASK a user if they would like to view thier port
status instead of just being shown it.
5.0 Note: As of the writting of this version, CNet 4.05 was released for
general BETA testing and 4.06 GAMA is running on FW. As this
program was written for CNet 3.x, it may not work with any of
the 4.x versions of CNet. It all comes down to if Ken is still
using the same GU (Get User) values for 4.x as he did for 3.x.
If he did, there should not be a problem but I have heard
rummors that some of the values HAVE changed :( If this is the
case, then I will release a 4.x version as soon as I can get the
new GU values for this information.
Version 5.1 (08-APR-1996)
Added: 5.1 will now 'ALWAYS' display the GLOBAL information for
the sysop's at the sysop menu screen. This will save time for
the sysop and be of help in a later version where sysop's can
edit the port information.
Fixed: I fixed it so now in the changewhere it will also show
the version instead of just PORTStatus, now it's PORTStatus #.:)
5.1 Note: As of the writting of this version, CNet 4.07 has been released
for general BETA/GAMA testing with 4.06 GAMA still running on
Future World. The good is... PORTStatus *IS* 4.x TESTED and is
fully usable! Hehe, whew... What luck:)
Future: This *HAS* become a full featured Status program:) and will SOON
have options for sysop editing of the port status information. This
would be good for those sysop's that call in remote alot and may
have forgotten to set the sysop in: to not in or other flags.
Future: Want to add a better graphic interface for the BBS users next.
